In 1887, the government prohibited banks issuing banknotes, and also ordered them to pick up the banknotes that were in circulation and exchange them for currency or national bank notes. Then the government of Province of Antioquia, resealed the bank notes of ORIENTE so they could continue to run, what actually happened until shortly before the creation of the Central Bank. This note presents an interesting overprint. Stating : Republica de Colombia Departamento de Antioquia - Gobernacion .
